Ping is a product I designed and rendered in Fusion360 in September 2022. It was inspired by a diabetic child in my mother's third grade classroom, who relies on teachers' phone timers to remind him to take his medicine or see the nurse. I wanted to find a way to grant him, and kids like him, the opportunity to have independence and privacy with their own health.
In the future I would like to continue this concept by designing a corresponding glucose monitor arm band that communicates with the "Ping" penguin and also has a kid-friendly interface. I would like to do more research on the functionality and types of programming of current glucose monitoring devices and find a way to simplify the interface.
