(BIG UBBLUE Design Award & 3 UB Patent Awards)
I worked with a small group to design, test, finalize, and present a wind turbine to an engineering board. Our group successfully produced the power requirements with a nontraditional design - the final design included a vertically spinning axis with a hexagonal base and six curved, vertical blades. We received three Patent Awards in separate design components, also receiving the "BIG UBBlue" Design Award over thousands of other students.
